Hey, folks. I just wanted to let you all know about Extra Life.
Every year, I join a team to help raise money for Children's Miracle Network Hospitals. This year, I'm helping raise money for the Children's Hospital of Illinois in Peoria, IL. Last year, I raised $186 for the Children's Hospital of San Antonio and it isn't looking like I'm going to come close to that this year. =(
100% of donations are tax-free and all proceeds go to help the kids.
If you're interested in donating, click on the Support Me button on my donation page (http://goo.gl/WxVXOR). Every single dollar helps and it's for a great cause.
Every person who donates, regardless of amount, will be placed into a drawing to win a copy of some board game named at a future date (but likely candidates are Province by Laboratory games, Love Letter by AEG, or Coup and Coup: Reformation by Indie Boards and Cards).
If you're interested in learning more about Extra-Life, you can check out their page (http://goo.gl/5VsrIj)

Step 2: I will attempt to identify you.
Feel free to do it anytime between now and whenever, keeping in mind that the closer we get to the New Year, the drunker I'll be.

The Challenger - every night, the Challenger can submit a RID Roster. If he is ever correct, the game ends in a victory for The Challenger. Otherwise, the Challenger loses. The Challenger cannot be killed at night. ODTG, the Challenger can forego his RID submission to learn the role of one block, living or dead.
The Blocks - Every block can block one non-Challenger per night.
The Purple Block
The Green Block
The Yellow Block
The Orange Block
The Pink Block - Used in Easy Difficulty or higher
The Aqua Block - Only used in Medium Difficulty or higher
The Blue Block - Only used in Hard Difficulty or higher
The Black Block - Only used in Brutal Difficulty
The Red Block - Can Night Kill a block every night. The NK cannot be blocked. The NK is blocking. The Red Block wins at the end of Nx if the Challenger has not submitted a correct RID roster.
This is a game of deduction based on OOA/OOP. It can be played with as few as 2 (one host, one player) and I'll try that out before anything. The player is the Challenger and chooses a difficulty.
The host's job: The host randomizes targets for each other block.
He also randomizes the OOP starting point. OOP starts with the selected player and goes down the list. This information will be provided with the NP.
The host writes a night post as normal, including all of the actions that are successful.
The actions are then presented in the night post IN A RANDOM ORDER.
It is the player's job to deduce which "player" is which block.
OOA is as follows: NK >> Block
Loops are broken in priority order. Whichever "player" has the highest priority takes the first action. Note: This only happens in loops, otherwise the game is broken (the last player's action will always fail, not giving enough info).
There are a number of scenarios that need to be clarified. I will try to cover them.
A blocks B blocks C blocks A.
Assume A has priority. A's block is successful. B is blocked so his is unsuccessful. C's block on A is the tricky part and will be listed as Successful Without Effect.
A blocks B blocks C blocks A
D blocks A
Assume A has priority. Since D is not in the loop, his action is considered before we consult the OOP. A is blocked. B successfully blocks C. C's block fails.
A blocks B blocks C blocks D blocks A
Red kills C
Assume A has priority. The NK >> Block, so happens first. C dies (blocking kill). D successfully blocks A. A is blocked. B tries to block a dead player, so it's reported as Successful Without Effect.
Feel free to propose any scenario and I'll elaborate on what happens.
The NP will always show in the format The Green Block blocks Benjer
Player names will be arbitrary since they won't be actual players. The Red Block can be controlled by a player for more effect (and can be granted a ODTG Mute action (where a block's action is not shown one night whether successful or not).
There are no days.
Araver: If you're around, I know you'd love to guinea pig this one. =P
