Slick’s Kitchen Mafia 5: On Your Own

Prologue:
It’s a day not all that long ago. Slick and Jay find themselves at the supermarket, Slick’s eyes opening wide as there are so many excellent food choices to choose from. What they both don’t know is that all of the Food Network Stars are here today. And all of them are working by themselves to pick up the best ingredients possible, so they’ll be able to make a special dish that will outshine all the others.

Slick and Jay round the bend of one of the aisles and it’s now that they realize so many familiar faces.

Slick: “ ”

The two of them freeze in place, unable to continue shopping. They are at a complete standstill, just watching what’s developing right in front of their noses… To both Jay and Slick, it’s just like an episode of Cutthroat Kitchen, happening up close and personal, instead of on TV.

RULES:

1. Each Food Network Star will receive $25,000 in spending cash at the beginning of the game. This money will be used to purchase available food product (which correspond to a certain day and/or night action). Different delicious food ingredients will be available during each night phase of the game.

2. Only one action can be used per cycle (either a night action or a day action, not both).

3. How you use your money is up to you, meaning you can use the same action more than once if it comes up on different night phases of the game, until your money is gone.

4. OOP: Redirect > Block > Save > RID Kill (meaning for any RID Kill attempt, it can be saved, blocked, and/or redirected). All other actions that will be available will be under RID Kill in the OOP.

5. Once game is down to two players, the game will continue until there is only one survivor, one champion of the Food Network Stars!

NIGHTLY BONUSES: Going into each night there will be a list of food ingredients listed. Whichever players can guess what common dish they comprise will gain an extra $1,000 in spending cash.


More can be added to this as I’m open for thoughts, being this one would be an all out brawl. No balance issues obviously.

TIE LYNCH RULES: 1 in the tie will die, selected by RNG.

If it comes down to the final 2 and there is no vote manip role in play, the tie lynch rule will take effect. Have to hope luck is on your side.


IF FINAL PLAYERS ALL KILL EACH OTHER SUCCESSFULLY WITH A KILLING ROLE ON THE NIGHT PHASE THAT WOULD END THE GAME: The winner of the game will be whichever player is heading into said night phase with the most money!

It would be much different from most mafia games where the essence of the game (for the goodies) is to figure out who's working toward or against you and your wincon, or (for the baddies) keeping the goodies from figuring it out until it's too late. In this game there's no mystery, everyone knows they can't trust anyone else and have to kill 'em all, and there wouldn't be much room for cooperation other than forming temporary non-aggression pacts... which brings up a question about how doable that would be: will players only be able to communicate through the main thread or can they use messenger abilities and/or establish BTSCs? If not, I'm guessing that this setup might favor whoever can best fly under the radar to seem non-threatening.

I have not yet decided if actions will include potential BTSC's/messengers or not.

I will update thread if I do.

Also, how will it be decided what actions are available in which phases? Random.org? Preset before game starts? Can everyone buy the same action at the same time? What will the actions cost? Can everyone get the 1000 bonus if all guess right?

I have the first 4 cycles ready, working on the 5th. I'm thinking what I might do is something different. No more than 3 winners, unless if you are somehow able to survive through D5...

Also when I post the finalized idea, I will not be providing the actual food items, as 24 hours is definitely enough to guess what the completed dish is.

Also for the messenger action, yes, it can be blocked.

Also, also up to 3 people can win.

Limited or Unlimited actions? The reason I ask is that if there is limited actions what happens if too many people try to buy it?

You can only purchase 1 action per night. No limit on how many can buy the same action.

If everyone actually does kill everyone else on the same night, everyone will revive as there has to be at least 1 winner.

Anything else before this goes to Games Ready?

Just want to nail down exactly what the wincons are. At one point it mentions that up to three players can win, and the N3 messenger ability says that the sender and recipient can win together which could potentially end up in a large web if a bunch of people use that ability N3.
