Seconding plasmid's Screwball Mafia.
I do remember that the apparent complexity of the roles forced goodies to get creative to share info (even though baddies did win in the end). An allegory on what beeps are all about.
Spent some time thinking about it and I'm nominating maurice and phaze's Robert de Niro Mafia
. Setting aside my own screwup in N2 which does skew my perspective a bit and some bouts of inactivity, this game had everything in it to make it fun to play and it had a stellar cast (pun intended). Can't think of any other game from 2017 that I'd like to replay again and again.
